Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 17 Brigade have launched a manhunt for the suspected killers of outstanding Islamic scholar, Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The growth comes as President Bola Tinubu has directed the police and different safety companies to accentuate efforts to trace down, arrest and prosecute these accountable for the killing.
The assault occurred on Monday night, October 26, 2026, when two armed males using on a bike reportedly opened hearth on the scholar and his buddy, Adamu Abubakar, in entrance of the cleric’s residence.
