Police arrest 12 suspected kidnappers, recover AK-47 rifles in Kaduna

“Preliminary investigations indicate that two of the suspects allegedly confessed to leaking information about police operations to criminal elements, thereby undermining security efforts and endangering the lives of security personnel and residents,” the assertion stated.

It added that the Kaduna State Government, following due consideration of the safety challenges in Millennium City and its suburbs, had launched three further Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to the police command to strengthen its operational capability and improve safety in the affected areas.

The command assured residents that clearance operations concentrating on legal hideouts would proceed to dismantle legal networks, disrupt their actions and facilitate the rescue of kidnapped victims.

It added that, as a part of the command’s dedication to strengthening safety, the Commissioner of Police had ordered the fast deployment of further tactical personnel, operational automobiles and different safety assets to the affected areas to accentuate surveillance, enhance response occasions and forestall additional legal actions.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Rabiu, urged members of the general public to stay calm, vigilant and cooperative with safety businesses by offering credible and well timed data to help in the battle in opposition to kidnapping and different legal actions.
