The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Kano State Chapter, has appointed a three-member interim leadership group to supervise its affairs following the resignation of its chairman, Dr Goni Faruk Umar.
According to the state Public Relations Officer of the discussion board in Kano, Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim, the event comes amid efforts to revive unity and resolve inside disagreements that had affected the sleek operating of the discussion board.
He mentioned the interim group contains the District Head of Tofa, Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa; Ambassador Bala Mohammed Sani and Hajiya Rabia Husaini Adamu.
The appointments had been introduced on Saturday by retired General Haliru Akilu throughout a joint assembly of members of the ACF Board of Trustees representing Kano State and the chapter’s govt committee held on the Late Amina Habib ACF Secretariat in Kano.
Akilu mentioned the three members would lead the chapter for the rest of the present govt committee’s tenure pending the election of a substantive chairman.
He mentioned the choice was taken to advertise reconciliation, restore understanding and strengthen cooperation amongst members following variations that had affected the chapter’s operations.
