Davido’s ‘I can never support APC’ post resurfaces after uncle joins Tinubu campaign

Nigerian singer, Davido’s previous declaration that he would never support the All Progressives Congress, APC, has resurfaced after his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, was appointed coordinator of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign within the state.

The appointment has attracted reactions from social media customers, with some questioning Adeleke’s choice to hitch Tinubu’s campaign regardless of the political variations between the 2 camps throughout the 2026 Osun governorship election.

One social media consumer, recognized as IKEAN, wrote: “Yesterday people died for Adeleke while fighting Tinubu APC to win elections. Today Ademola Adeleke, emerges APC Presidential Campaign Council Coordinator in Osun State.”

Another consumer, Chychy, tagged Davido and wrote: “@davido we your fans are highly disappointed in your uncle for accepting this appointment.”

A consumer recognized as Sly additionally questioned the appointment, writing: “@davido I pity those that loss there live because of your uncle reelection.. there souls will be crying because they died for democracy instead they died for Apc.”

Davido had brazenly opposed the APC forward of the August 2026 Osun governorship election, declaring: “I can never support APC in my life!”

The singer shared a video of Adeleke dancing and singing on his Instagram Story after information of the appointment emerged, though he didn’t straight touch upon his uncle’s new position within the post.
