Country music singer John Anderson, identified for hits together with Swingin’, Straight Tequila Night and Seminole Wind, has died on the age of 71.
His household introduced his dying on Wednesday, October 21, saying he died peacefully in his sleep, weeks earlier than his 72nd birthday.
In a press release, his household described him as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and pal, including that his best legacy to them was the love he shared and the recollections they’d cherish.
“To the world, he was a gifted country music singer whose voice and songs touched countless lives. To us, he was so much more,” the assertion learn.
Anderson, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, attended the ceremony celebrating this 12 months’s honourees on Sunday, October 18.
Tributes have begun pouring in from fellow musicians, together with nation star Blake Shelton, who expressed shock on the information in a publish on X.
“I am sick and I am stunned,” Shelton wrote, describing Anderson as his hero and pal. He added that figuring out the singer personally had proven him that Anderson was much more exceptional than he had imagined.
