The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has outlined a stringent pathway for exceptionally gifted underage candidates, setting a minimal rating of 320 within the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as a key requirement for consideration.
Despite this provision, the board reaffirmed its strict enforcement of the 16-year minimal age for admission into tertiary establishments, stressing that the concession applies solely to a restricted class of candidates who exhibit excellent educational skill.
JAMB clarified that the “No Result Yet” standing at present noticed by some candidates isn’t on account of any technical malfunction however a deliberate coverage measure affecting those that fall beneath the prescribed age threshold.
